I didn’t pick up Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza looking for something “out there.” I picked it up because I’ve been increasingly curious about the connection between the mind, the body, and healing—especially how much control we actually have over our own well-being.
This book challenged me more than I expected.
At first, some of the concepts felt a little hard to grasp—things like energy centers, the quantum field, and the idea that our thoughts can influence reality at that level. But instead of dismissing it, I stayed with it. And what began to land for me wasn’t necessarily the language—it was the underlying message: that we are not as stuck as we think we are.
One of the biggest shifts I experienced while reading this book was realizing how much of my day is driven by subconscious patterns—repeated thoughts, familiar emotions, even stress responses that feel automatic. Dispenza’s work made me pause and ask: What if I could interrupt that? What if I could choose something different?
The meditations were where things really started to click. Slowing down, becoming aware of my thoughts, and intentionally shifting my emotional state felt simple—but not easy. And yet, even small moments of awareness started to feel powerful. Less reactive. More intentional. More grounded.
I won’t say I agree with every concept in the book, and I don’t think you have to. But what I do appreciate is how it expands your perspective on what might be possible—especially when it comes to healing, resilience, and personal transformation.
For me, this book wasn’t about becoming “supernatural.”
It was about becoming more aware, more present, and more in control of the energy I bring into my own life.
And that alone felt like a meaningful shift.
My takeaway:
We may not control everything that happens to us—but we have more influence than we think over how we think, feel, and show up. And that’s a powerful place to start.
